Our paths have been shaped by the trials and triumphs we have experienced, emerging stronger and wiser through it all. We strive to use the lessons we have learned to better serve others and practice gratitude for the amazing life we have.

Siobhan: As a Combat Search and Rescue/Medical Evacuation C-130 pilot in the Air Force, I saw the horrific aftermath of war and conflict firsthand during my deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. Witnessing the wounded, the children and the destruction on a daily basis took a heavy toll on me. I returned home with a mind full of nightmares, flashbacks, and an overwhelming feeling of being trapped.

Compartmentalizing my thoughts and avoiding triggering situations worked for a while, but when I had a child, the postpartum depression worsened my PTSD. As a pilot, I couldn’t reveal my struggles without being grounded – it felt like I was trapped in an impossible situation. I reached a very low point in my life, almost losing it all before I realized I had to fight for myself and turn things around.

It was an uphill climb, far more challenging than I could ever explain, but I eventually overcame my struggles with the help of others. Today, I wake up every day with gratitude, a newfound respect for life, and a better understanding of how to handle stress and anxiety. Now as a real estate agent, I can use my experiences to help others through their own challenging situations, offering comfort and solutions with ease. People often attribute my calming presence to my time in the cockpit, but I know that it stems from successfully overcoming life’s battles. Every time I look at my children, Rowan and Ari, and my fiancé Tad, I know I made it through that period of my life for a reason. In our free time, we take full advantage of Colorado, traveling to the mountains to ski and snowboard. We also love taking the kids to different national parks over the summer.

Tad: During a three-year period, I had the opportunity to travel to 10 different countries in Africa for partnership building. Living in Germany at the time, I was assigned to meet with higher-ranking military and government officials to learn about their way of life and help them in any way possible. These trips opened my eyes to the different situations that people live in under their respective governments and in their countries. Each trip had a life-changing moment, and it was a truly eye-opening experience.

Through my travels, I gained a newfound appreciation for what I had available to me in America. About 10 years ago, I started working alongside a friend of mine to create Young Champion Ambassadors.

We brought together local high school students from Colorado Springs and put them in front of local leaders such as mayors, business owners, and even Olympians. We would then take them out to ancient Olympia, Greece, to watch them light the torch for the Olympics. We were the first U.S. citizens to carry the torch on Greek soil ever with our program. We followed the students through college, and they would start their own community outreach programs around the country. It was a great way to give back, change the students’ perspective of the world and give them the confidence to create their own impactful movements within their communities.

When I met Siobhan, we bonded over our experiences, both the good and the bad. Our military service was a huge part of our lives, and as we navigated life outside of the military, we both felt a similar calling to continue serving others. Siobhan started her real estate career before I did, in 2017. As our relationship developed, we decided to go all in and open Fighting Falcon Home Team with a mission of serving those in our community needing professional real estate guidance.

As a veteran-owned business, we pride ourselves on making a difference in our clients’ lives by offering information, support and guidance as we navigate the buying and selling process together. While we each have different aspects of the process that we enjoy most, we both agree that helping people and educating them is the most rewarding part of our job. Having valuable market insight, our clients can feel comfortable evaluating their options with us to ensure they make the right decisions that align with their short- and long-term goals.

Educating our clients is a very important step of the process. It is one thing to know your options, but it is another to actually understand them and the future implications they may have. We sit down with you and explain everything in an easy-to-understand way. When you have all the information, you can confidently take the next step, knowing you are doing what is right for you and your family. When the transaction is over, we want to be there ready to support you through all future chapters as your REALTORS® for life.

Sincerely,
